Our man is back with another NBA betting preview, looking to add to his 37-23 record since joining us mid-season.
Check out his three recommended plays below.
Boston Celtics @ Indiana Pacers - 11am (ESPN)
This game is going to be a must-watch. Boston and Indiana are locked in as a first round playoff match-up, but they are still fighting for home court advantage.
The winner of this match-up is likely to claim it.
Boston have had their struggles on the road this season, currently sitting under .500 away from TD Garden.
It’s imperative they get home court over the Pacers for the playoffs or they might get bounced out in the first round.
The last time these two teams played here it was the Celtics who literally stole the win.
The Pacers need home court just as much, however, as they too struggle on the road. They boast a 29-10 home record this season, but Victor Oladipo was their centrepiece and it’s proven tough to win consistently without him.
I can’t split these teams. I feel the Celtics will be locked in and come to play hard, but the Pacers are much better at home.
This has led me to the ‘Tribet’ market, where I’m taking either team to win by under 6.5 points for $2.35 with Unibet.
Detroit Pistons @ Oklahoma City Thunder - 11am
The scouting report on Detroit seems simple right now: no Blake Griffin, no Detroit Pistons.
They’ve played five games without him this season, and they lost four of them by double digits.
If he doesn’t suit up tomorrow anything you write about this game becomes irrelevant because the Pistons will lose. If he does play, the Pistons become an offensive rebounding machine.
They’ve surrounded Griffin Andre Drummond with 3-point snipers who they can kick the ball out to in space.
OKC have been hit and miss since the All-Star break, and are limping into the playoffs right now.
Russell Westbrook and Paul George need to lead this team from the front and that starts by setting a winning mentality here over the Pistons.
The bookies are heavily favouring the Thunder at home, which means the line is enormous.
The Pistons +10.5 for the Pistons with Unibet is the play here.
If Blake plays this line will trim immensely so jump on before it’s confirmed.
Portland Trail Blazers @ Denver Nuggets - 1:30pm (ESPN)
The Trail Blazers have some serious motivation to win this game. A win here puts them into the third seed and only one game behind Denver.
However, no Jusuf Nurkic or CJ McCollum makes it a difficult task.
Down two star players, the load is being carried by Damian Lillard. Enes Kanter and Al-Farouq Aminu have been making handy contributions since the injuries occurred, but I’m not sure it’s enough to get over the line against the Nuggets on the road.
Blow out losses for the Nuggets turned into a blowout win over San Antonio the other day.
Nikola Jokic is the key as always, after he almost triple-doubled in the rout.
It’s going to be tough to stop him; Nurkic used to have great games against Denver but without him it rests with Enes Kanter. I think the Nuggets are going to be too good here.
Boston/Indiana – Either Team to win by under 6.5 points – $2.35
Detroit +10.5 – $1.91
Denver -5.5 – $1.82
All markets available with Unibet.
