The range of Australian bookies available to punters has undergone a lot of change over the past couple of years.
On one hand, there’s been a lot of merger and acquisition activity among some of the online bookmakers, which has seen a heap of brands combined. Names such as William Hill, BetEasy and UBET have now gone the way of TomWaterhouse.com, CentreBet and SportingBet, while other smaller players such as betting.club, MadBookie and TopBetta have been swallowed up.
So it can appear there’s now less options when it comes to Australian Bookies. That’s not strictly the case, however… a whole lot of smaller, independent players – most of them on-course bookmakers – have now found themselves online in somewhat of a ‘second wave’ of online Australian bookmakers.
There are a lot of options for punters… but just how many are there? Check out our guide to get an idea…
To help you start to navigate the crowded bookmaking industry, we’ve put together our quick guide of online Australian bookies. This shows all the brands now operating in Australia, and who owns them. There’s a few businesses (Entain, predominantly) who operate a number of different brands in Australia. So while it might seem you’re betting with four different bookies… Ladbrokes, Neds, BetStar and Bookmaker.com.au are actually all the one operator.
As you can see, there’s been a massive influx of independently-owned Australian bookies heading into the online space. They’re all after your punting dollar… and by the way, there’s a way you can take advantage of that. Betting expert Rod runs our High-Low membership, which is aimed at playing all the different bookmaker promotions in the smartest way possible. The results are truly spectacular, so make sure you check out High Low for more information.
