Flemington quaddie tips

Expect the track to play alright after some rain this week. The rail is out 6m and we have a northerly wind again which normally hinders the leaders. May play similar to two weeks ago when leaders found it tough.

Not an easy card overall…quite a few races with a number of chances.

Race 7 (1600m – BM70)

#5 Gold Fields (Stockdale / McGill)
Returned to form last start over this trip. Should be able to hold its rating.

#6 Spunlago (McNeill / Alexander)
Resumed this prep for new trainer. Both runs terrific. Suited at 1600m.

#8 Dollar For Dollar (Martin / McEvoy)
Won well 1st up then didnt handle wet track. Can be excused for its last start when had to face the breeze. Can run to best 4th up.

#12 Jaminzah (Baster / Waller)
Racing consistently. Suited by the trip. Has claims.

#13 Rebellious Lord (Thompson / O’Donnell)
Extremely unlucky LS. Looks suited up to 1600m. Can run to new peak.

#14 Wayanka (Melham / Waller)
Got well back last start before running on well. Inside draw should help it settle closer.

#17 But It’s True (Allen / Weir)
Having its first start for Weir so I’ve rated it to its best. Fairly well exposed having had 11 runs, but market will still be some guide.

Race 8 (1600m – OPEN HCP)

#2 Amovatio (Thompson / Waller)
Had freshen up since 2nd in Winter series final. Runs well at Flemington.

#4 Rhythm To Spare (Moloney / Moroney)
Just found the track a bit firm last start. Previous form solid. Has good record at this trip.

#11 Show A Star (Newitt / Alexander)
Unlucky two starts back at Moonee Valley. Not a lot of luck last start either. Well suited here.

#13 Cosmic Lights (Baster / Morgan)
Racing consistently. Didn’t have a lot of luck last start. Has claims.

Race 9 (1400m – BM84)

#6 Rich Luck (Symons / Laurie)
Won well 1st up running best sectionals of the day. Steps to 1400m where it has a terrific record.

#10 Orient Line (Newitt / Moloney)
In arguably career-best form. Won well at Caulfield two starts ago. Ran well again behind Portman.

#12 Portman (Thompson / O’Brien)
Good win 2nd up and stays at the trip. Just needs to hold its rating here.

#13 Revolving Door (Zahra / McDonald)
Missed the run last week with the meeting abandoned. No luck last start and gets senior rider on.

Race 10 (1400m – 4YO OPEN HCP)

#2 Poetic Ray (Melham / Freedman)
All runs have been on heavy but did power away last start over shorter trip. Looks suited out to 2000m.

#3 Spanish Reef (Stockdale / Keys)
Won past two over 1600m. Missed the run last week, is a slight query going to 2000m.

#4 Windbern (Dunn / Price)
Another one who missed the run last week. Did win over this trip last start. Has claims.

#5 Tan Tat Trusting (Lane / Dwyer)
He was strong last start over a mile. Is quickly up to 2000m but has claims.

#9 Eureka Street (Moor / Smerdon)
Had no luck last start over 2000m. Another who missed the run last week but ran on strongly. Should improve.
