Time for our AFL Round 3 and NRL Round 4 Review with games completed over the weekend.
Which teams are still be overrated by the market and which are offering value to punters?
We’re three weeks into the AFL season and the numbers are starting to settle down a little, but there’s still more than a few clubs that the handicappers can’t catch.
Geelong, Gold Coast and Brisbane continue to cover whatever figure is put on them, with all three still unbeaten at the line in 2019.
The Queensland clubs have been the bolters this year, with Brisbane receiving more plaudits publicly due to their 3-0 win-loss record.
At the other end of the table, the market is yet to catch up with the depths of poor form of Richmond, Melbourne and North.
That may change this week as Richmond’s injuries and suspensions pile up and get priced in, however Melbourne in particular are continuing to prove very unreliable at the line.
In the NRL the Storm finally put in a sub-par performance (compared to market expectation anyway) and joined five teams at 3-1 for the season.
The Eels have continued to surprise punters and sit atop the line ladder on their way to 3 wins from their opening 4 NRL matches.
At the end end, the Titans and Cowboys have been disappointing on the field and continue to let punters down as well.
