Quaddie tips for Moonee Valley

The track should be relatively firm which should suit horses up on the pace. As will the rail being out 4m.

Race 5 (2040m – Open HCP – Group 3)

#2 Jon Snow (Baker & Forstman / Baster)
3rd up here and out to 2000m. Ran well 1st up, bit flat 2nd up. Should be right to bounce back now.

#3 Ecuador (Waterhouse & Bott / Mertens)
Sydney-sider who comes down to Melb. 4th run in should be ready to run to near best. Maps well.

#4 Star Exhibit (Weir / Lane)
Lost rider at the start last time. Has good record around this trip. Has stable preferred jock on.

#5 Boom Time (Hayes & Dabernig / Zahra)
Ran well 1st up then flat run 2nd up. Has solid form this distance. Senior rider goes on for 1st time this prep.

#6 Foundation (Hayes & Dabernig / Bayliss)
Ran well 2 starts ago at Moonee Valley then argubaly should have won last start. Can roll forward.

#9 Gallic Chieftain (Weir / Yendall)
Ran solidly last start over 1700m off freshen up. Good record this trip.

Race 6 (1600m – Mares Open WFA – Group 2)

#1 Hell Or Highwater (Hayes & Dabernig / Yendall)
Career best form. Terrific record this trip. Rolls forward from barrier 9. The one to beat.

#3 Lizzie L’amour (Baker & Forstman / Bowman)
Pulled up with elevated heart rate last start. Has trialled since. Had good form previous prep. Can bounce back. Bowman’s been booked.

#7 I Am A Star (Nichols / Melham)
Not going as well this time in compared to previous preps. But gets to right trip now and can improve.

#8 Montoya’s Secret (Corstens / Moreira)
3rd run in now and was impressive winner 3rd up last time in this track and distance. Can improve. Moreira booked.

#9 Jennifer Lynn (Weir / Shinn)
Ran terrifically 1st up. Then a little flat 2nd up but should be able to bounce back here.

Race 7 (1000m – Open WFA – Group 1)

#1 Terravista (Pride / Brown)
Terrific horse fresh who has solid claims here at this trip.

#2 Malaguerra (Gelagotis / Melham)
Another good fresh horse. Impressive winner this track in January albeit over 1200m.

#3 Voodoo Lad (Weir / Shinn)
Very good win 1st up then not suited down the straight. Better suited here around the corner. 2/2 at Moonee Valley.

#5 Russian Revolution (Snowden / Bowman)
Solid winner 1st up. Will roll forward and barrier slight concern but does have Bowman.

#9 Sheidel (Hayes & Dabernig / Moreira)
Slightly disappointing 1st up but race wasnt run to suit. Blinkers go on here. Jock has won 2 from 3.

#11 Heatherly (Ellerton & Zahra / Lane)
3rd up after 2 solid runs this prep at this track and trip. Can hold that rating here.

#13 She Will Reign (Portelli / McEvoy)
Golden Slipper winner resuming. Has form around Houtzen who found these sprinters too hot. Needs to run to best here.

Race 8 (1600m – 3yo SW Group 2)

#1 The Mission (Perry / Lane)
Hasn’t been suited in either run this prep. Did win the Champagne Stakes over this distance as a 2yo albeit on a heavy track. In-form jockey on and maps well.

#3 Showtime (Hawkes / Mertens)
Ran good time winning a Wyong maiden. Held on well last start when best of the on-pacers in a brutally run 1400m race. Can find the front here over 1600m and looks hard to beat.

#4 Masculino (Price / Noonan)
Ran honestly here last start over slightly shorter trip. Has claims if can hold that rating.

#9 Wassergeist (Busuttin & Young / Bowman)
Terrific run 2 starts ago in quickly run maiden when had no luck. Then an easy kill last start. Looks suited out to 1600m and gets Bowman.

Leaving Azazel out – can win but looks short for mine. Happy to risk it from wide barrier, poor map and jumping in distance.

The Valley tonight, Mornington tomorrow and Caulfield Sunday make for a massive weekend for Melbourne Ratings members. Get on board now if you want a winning edge.
