Moonee Valley Quaddie Preview
We’re off to Moonee Valley tonight, and professional punter Trevor Lawson has previewed the Quaddie.
#1 Seannie (Busuttin & Young / Mark Zahra)
Ran on well past two starts, looks primed for 1600m.
#2 Shokora (Hayes, Hayes & Dabernig / Craig Williams)
Battled on well last start over shorter trip, steps to 1600m here which looks ideal.
#3 Palazzo Vecchio (Mick Price / Damien Oliver)
Not much luck last start over 1400m, looks ideally suited at this trip, and can sit closer from better barrier.
#4 Think Bleue (Darren Weir / Damian Lane)
Ran on nicely in a good rating midweek race, gets senior jockey on.
#2 Abbey Marie (Michael Kent / Craig Williams)
Returns to mares class after competing in open WFA races, has run well here in the past.
#3 Samovare (Hayes, Hayes & Dabernig / Damien Oliver)
No luck last start at Flemington at vital stage but hit the line well. Third-up and should be ready to peak.
#4 Spanish Reef (Ken Keys / Mark Zahra)
Won both starts this prep racing on the pace, will get a similar run here.
#5 Life On The Wire (Scott Brunton / Jamie Mott)
Unbeaten this prep and maps well. Very slight query at distance.
#1 Rock Magic (Chris Gangemi / Damian Lane)
Consistent type who always returns similar figures. Only downside is no wins in the east for a long time.
#2 Hellbent (Darren Weir / Craig Williams)
Ran terrific in this race last year, third-up here, looks a target race and can run to best.
#3 Supido (Michael Kent / Beau Mertens)
Racing well. Honest run last start the down the straight and has raced well here in the past.
#4 Thronum (Hayes, Hayes & Dabernig / Mark Zahra)
Won at this track and distance in January. Had excuses last start down the straight, can bounce back here.
#6 Secret Agenda (Mick Price / Damien Oliver)
Won well first-up off a long spell, has run beter figures in the past and can improve here.
#8 Pariah (Peter & Paul Snowden / Blake Shinn)
3YO resuming. Won well first-up last prep then ran second to boom colt Menari third-up. Good form for this.
#9 She Will Reign (Gary Portelli / Ben Melham)
Won okay first-up, then not suited in the Oakleigh Plate from a wide barrier. Can improve dramatically from the inside draw here.
#1 Cao Cao (Mick Price / Mark Zahra)
Coming back in trip should suit, will race on the pace.
#2 Easy Beast (Richard Laming / Michael Walker)
Racing well this prep. Wide draw a very slight concern.
#3 Andaz (Chris Waller / Ben Melham)
Ran on well first-up off a short break, then not suited second up. Freshened up here – has won well off a freshen-up in the past.
#8 Deprive (James Cummings / Damian Lane)
Ran well at Canterbury first-up from spell. Good form for this.
#10 True Excelsior (Leon & Troy Corstens / Stephen Baster)
Ran well two starts ago then caught wide last start over the longer trip. Should be better back to 1200m, maps better.
#12 Garrard (Busuttin & Young / Dwayne Dunn)
Ran okay first-up from a spell, and had excuses second-up. Has trialled nicely for his. Is never far away.
