Race reviews rosehill

Back to Rosehill tomorrow for a deep card of racing.  The last four races have big fields with plenty of chances, plus there’s some rain around over the next 24 hours.  So it might make it a good day to play a quaddie.

Race 6

1 Montauk (Waller / Innes)
Returned well this prep, hitting the line at both runs.  Should improve here third-up with its second run at 2000m, and handles wet.

5 Mortar Platoon (Waller / Berry)
Running on consistently this prep. Handles wet and suited by the likelihood of good pace here.

6 Nothing Box (Waller / Angland)
Racing well in midweek grade and should be able to slot in just off the speed from the wide gate.

13 Last Try Wins (Cavanough / Wolfgram)
Lacks speed but always runs on. Gets conditions to suit with sting out and pace on, and a good roughie to throw in.

Race 7

1 Moher (Beadman / Panya)
Stuck on well on solid paces last two starts in stronger grade. Should find the front here and be hard to catch.

7 Berry Delicious (Coyle / Parr)
Ran home in good splits first-up, always improves second up and loves the wet.

9 Careless (Newnham / Reith)
Much improved since changing trainers. Gets a good run here and both runs solid this prep.

11 Liapari (Waller / Collett)
Kept improving last prep and returned in good order, hitting the line well after being taken right back.

13 So Willie (Waller / Berry)
Has returned a much improved animal this prep with two solid wins. Was well ridden both times and draw poor here, but still has to go in.

Race 8

2 Mogador (Beadman / Adkins)
Resumes from long spell but drawn to get a soft run. Was talented and trials good without blinkers this time.

5 Noble Joey (Price / Wells)
Racing well on pace this prep. 42 days off and back to 1200m on the wet all positives, and looks to get across okay from the draw.

6 Frill Seeking (Smith / Heywood)
Taken back and hit line okay first-up. Can settle closer here and handles the sting out.

11 Wild ’N’ Famous (Snowden / Angland)
Had no luck first-up and maps well to improve here.

12 Bonny O’Reilly (Baker / Collett)
Kept improving last prep and resumed with a solid win in weaker grade first-up.

14 Star Wars (Ryan / Berry)
Capable of sprinting home fast and always runs its best races first up.  A good roughie to throw in here.

Race 9

7 Knit ’N’ Purl (Lees / Ford)
Running on consistently. Slightly suss at 1400m but maps well, is fit and handles wet.

8 Wahng Wah (Lees / Reith)
Came back a different horse this prep. Sprinting home fast off slow paces, and can step up in grade here.

9 Dagny (Waller / Berry)
Very talented animal. Strong win on wet first-up before very poor run second-up. Trialled very well with blinkers since and looks to get favours here.

10 Labdien (Waller / Collett)
Was wide and working first-up and kept finding the line. Solid trial since and fits in well here.

1, 5, 6, 13 / 1, 7, 9, 11, 13 / 2, 5, 6, 11, 12, 14 / 7, 8, 9, 10
