Race 6
3 Jacquinot Bay (Hayes & Dabernig / Williams): doesn’t run the 2000m but comes back to the 1600 here which suits. Blinkers go on and gets Williams aboard.
5 Onpicalo (Price / Oliver): held on to win last start and can improve again off that. Should lead.
10 Plein Ciel (Weir / Allen): ran third first-up at Warrnambool on a slow track, with the second quickest 400m before knocking up. Should be able to run to best here.
Race 7
1 Leotie (Dwyer / Allen): ran very well last start and step to 1600m suits. Could improve again.
2 Pedrena (Price / J Bayliss): won well at Caulfield. Steps to 1600m for the first time but should be right to hold.
3 Soho Ruby (L Kavanagh / Baster): also goes to 1600m for the first time. Covered a fair bit of ground at Flemington and can hold form here.
7 Windbern (Price / Oliver): totally missed the start last time before flying home. Should be able to box seat here.
Race 8
1 Zamzam (Hayes & Dabernig / J Bayliss): won well the other day and stays at the same trip. Very honest galloper.
4 Widgee Turf (P Payne / Allen): was backed up quickly off first-up run, getting back and battling. Produced peak figure third-up last prep, looks overs here.
5 What A Shock (Ellerton & Zahra / Aitken): led at Ballarat running a terrific time. Can hold that here.
8 Barbie’S Boy (Bonella / Thompson): got a long way back at Sandown and made up a lot of ground from the 800 – 200 before tiring. Can improve.
Race 9
1 Cannyescent (Hayes & Dabernig / Oliver): racing consistently, won well in Sydney, very honest.
3 Thelburg (Sadler / Allen): won last two. Should roll forward here from the wide barrier, going well.
7 Act Of Valour (Dwyer / Williams): been terrific this prep and should roll forward. 1400m suits.
11 Strike Force (Moroney / Childs): had a freshen-up and goes okay fresh. Consistent and will be on the speed.
14 Data Point (Kent / Nolen): resumed after being gelded and went super. Holds that rating here.
