Caulfield Quaddie Preview

Track/Course: Rail true, rainy weather forecast

Race 6

#1 Tosen Stardom (JPN) (D.Weir / B.Allen (a))
Given no hope first up when favourite. Better suited here, can bounce back.

#3 Brave Smash (JPN) (D.Weir / C.Williams)
Arguably should’ve won last start. Comes here third run back from spell. Should be ready to run to it’s best.

#6 Mr Sneaky (A.Freedman / M.J.Zahra)
Never likely both run back from spell. Third up here, can improve if able to run on.

#10 Mighty Boss (M.Price  / M.Walker)
Unlucky first up when blocked for run in straight. Good chance here with clear run.

#11 Showtime (M, W & J.Hawkes / D.Dunn)
Terrific run when resuming. Can roll forward from barrier. Promising type.

Race 7

#1 Long Leaf (D. & B.Hayes & T.Dabernig / K.McEvoy)
Unbeaten colt who steps to 1200m for the first time. Slight query.

#2 Written By (G.Begg / J.Childs)
Unbeaten colt. Sat wide first up from a spell. Will have to do the same here.

#4 Prairie Fire (M.Price / M.J.Zahra)
On quick back up from last Saturday. Strong through the line. Looks suited up in trip.

#8 Plague Stone (J.Cummings / B.Melham)
Worked home nicely frst up over a slightly shorter distance. Should step to new level here.

#10 Enbihaar (D. & B.Hayes & T.Dabernig / C.J.Parish)
Unbeaten filly who fought on well last start. Awkward map but has claims.

#11 Kinky Boom (A.J.McEvoy / C.Williams)
Missed start on debut before running on nicely in the straight. Has won at this distance. Should be strong late.

#13 Ennis Hill (D. & B.Hayes & T.Dabernig / S.Baster)
Ran quick time last start over shorter trip. Will be hard to hold out if it sees out the 1200m here.

#16 Oohood (A.J.McEvoy / L.Currie)
Unlucky in all three runs so far. Looks suited out to 1200m. Will be strong late with clear run.

Race 8

#2 Russian Revolution (P. & P.Snowden / M.J.Zahra)
Quality horse who has only been beaten once in career when coming off a fresh run. Trialled nicely leading into this.

#2 Sheidel (D. & B.Hayes & T.Dabernig / D.Oliver)
Quaility mare who won this race last year. May not have come up in the spring. Trialled nicely leading into this. Can run to best here.

#6 Snitty Kitty (H.Dwyer / B.Mertens)
Just needed the run first up when knocked up late. Should strip fitter here. Perfectly suited this distance.

#9 She Will Reign (G.Portelli / B.Melham)
Soft win when resuming. Can improve off that run here. Assume will be ridden cold from barrier which may suit.

Race 9

#1 Hartnell (GB) (J.Cummings / C.Williams)
Won well first up when rating below best. Only needs to return that figure here to be right in the race.

#2 Gailo Chop (FR) (D.Weir / M.J.Zahra)
Won well first up. Another who rated below peak performance. Hard to beat here with natural improvement.

#6 Harlem (GB) (D. & B.Hayes & T.Dabernig / K.McEvoy)
Ran well first up behind Gailo Chop. Gets a similar run here. Has a chance at odds.

#9 Single Gaze (N.Olive / K.O’Hara)
Ran out of its skin first up. Don’t expect it to hit peak figure here but expect competitive showing.
