Flemington Quaddie Tips and Preview

Trev is back for another week with his Quaddie tips for Flemington, with plenty of value runners across the four legs.

Race 6

#3 Cullingworth (Darren Weir / Ethan Brown)
Slightly disappointing in every run this prep but has had some excuses. Steps out in trip here and can improve.

4 He Ekscels (Richard Laming / Dwayne Dunn)
Led all the way second-up. Steps to the trip for the first time, but looks likely to run it and maps to find the front.

#5 Sherlock Holmes (Liam Howley / Ben Melham)
Ran okay first-up over a shorter trip last prep and then won over longer later in the prep. Stable has habit of having them ready first-up over this trip, so keeping safe.

#7 Addison (Hayes & Dabernig / Fred Kersley)
Ran well early in the prep. Had a flat run here two runs ago, then never likely last start in Adelaide. Blinkers on, can improve dramatically.

#11 Big Pat’s Pontiac (Nigel Blackiston / Beau Mertens)
Ran well last start, coming off the short break, good at this trip.
#12 Condamine (Matt Cumani / Mark Zahra)
Walked in at Terang over slightly shorter trip, good enough for this.

Race 7

#4 Nozomi (Anthony Freedman / Jye McNeil)
Won well first up, stays at the same trip here, has claims.

#7 Mask Of Time (Aaron Purcell / Ben Melham)
Terrific run in the Spring in only run for the prep. Has changed stables since, has solid chance if fancied.

#8 Theanswermyfriend (Henry Dwyer / Mark Zahra)
First-up here at 1400 for new trainer. Terrific record this trip, solid grounding with four jump-outs, should run near best.

#12 Overshare (Team Hawkes / Dwayne Dunn)
Steps to trip for the first time but will get a cosy run from barrier 1.

#14 Tribal Wisdom (Michael Moroney / Patrick Moloney)
Terrific run first-up and has a solid record at this trip. Has solid claims on the minimum weight.

Race 8

#2 Portman (Danny O’Brien / Fred Kersley)
On the quick back-up from last week when the track bias was against. Can bounce back.

#3 Top Of The Range (Michael Moroney / Patrick Moloney)
Won impressively last start and can go on with it here.

#5 Soho Ruby (Levi Kavanagh / Ben Melham)
Worked home nicely first-up over shorter trip, suited here second-up.

#6 Snipfit (Ken Keys / Stephanie Thornton)
Ran well first-up from a spell, maps well and gets in with the light weight.

#8 Abyssinian (Enver Jusufovic / Dwayne Dunn)
Hit the line hard last time over 1400m, looks suited out to 1600m.

Race 9

#1 Milwaukee (Michael Moroney / Jack Martin)
Returns from a freshen-up. Did win fresh last time, only has to maintain its rating to be competitive here.

#4 Handsome Thief (Darren Weir / Ethan Brown)
Drew the wrong side of the track last time down the straight. Previous form good enough for this.

#7 Highland Beat (Hayes & Dabernig / Beau Mertens)
Racing well this time in, last win was this track and distance, will be thereabouts.

#8 Bord De Gain (Mark Kavanagh / Ben Thompson)
Racing well this prep, has run well down the straight in the past, should be competitive.

#10 Sacred Sham (Danny O’Brien / Damien Oliver)
Has been racing well over shorter trips. Has good figures at this track and distance – won last prep in listed race.

#13 Galaxy Raider (Grahame Begg / Dwayne Dunn)
Enigmatic galloper resuming for new trainer. At its best is a handy galloper, want on my side.

Leg 1 – 3, 4, 5, 7, 11, 12
Leg 2 – 4, 7, 8, 12, 14
Leg 3 – 2, 3, 5, 6, 8
Leg 4 – 1, 4, 7, 8, 10, 13
