Moonee Valley Quaddie Preview

Rail is in the true having been out 3m and 6m the last two meetings. Track should be good and play pretty even. Only tend to swoop at the Valley when it’s a bit wet and the inside gets softer.

Race 6

Tough start to the quaddie:

#1 Atlantic City (Baster / Kavanagh)
Given short break since two good runs. Has claims in this class.

#3 King’s Command (Riordan / Corstens)
Resumes off long spell. Did win 1st up last prep. Has trialled nicely for this.

#5 Kievann (Aitken / Brown)
Racing consistently, maps well and has good record here.

#6 King River (Oliver / Price)
Resumed off long spell at Pakenham. Held ground, fitter here and senior jock goes on.

#7 Lord Barrington (Moloney / Moroney)
Ran well 2 starts ago, then struggled in soft last start. Can bounce back here on firmer track.

#9 Roman Fizz (Thornton / Griffiths)
Resumes off long break but races well fresh. Has good record here this trip.

#11 Data Point (Brown / Kent)
Never in the right part of track first up off short break. Better suited here.

#13 Essence Of Terror (Symons / Ellerton & Zahra)
Worked home well last start. Comes here on the quick back-up. Consistent type who looks well graded here.

#14 Just Hifalutin (Allen / Jusufovic)
Terrific win here last start in lesser grade. Should cope with rise in class.

Race 7

#1 Bel Sonic (Melham / Warren)
Terrific run 1st up at Pakenham when never in right ground. Will be getting home hard here.

#2 Muraahib (Bayliss / Hayes & Dabernig)
Very good 1st up run last prep behind subsequent Group 1 winner. Has been gelded since last prep.

#4 Crystal Spirit (Lane / Ellerton & Zahra)
Resumed a gelding with a good win on the Synthetic at Pakenham. Should be competitive here.

Race 8

#1 Sirbible (Stockdale / Bell)
Given short break since first up run when never travelled after slightly missing start. Can improve dramatically here.

#6 Nasdex (Thornton / Ellerton & Zahra)
Ran well 1st up this trip at Pakenham. Only has to hold rating here to be competitive.

#7 Ken’s Dream (Allen / Weir)
Resumes a gelding here. Was in good form last prep and doesn’t have to improve much to be a chance here.

#9 Mogador (Williams / Cummings)
Resumes in VIC. A while since it’s won but can go well here if runs to near best. Positive jockey booking.

#10 Dance With Fontein (Caserta / Griffiths)
Consistent type who has good record this trip. Has raced well here in the past.

#11 Invincible Al (Hope / Payne)
Ran well this track over shorter trip 1st up. Then not suited in slowly run race at Pakenham. Better suited in this.

#12 Modern Wonder (Baster / Corstens)
Races well here. Drawn positively, can run to best.

#14 Wise Hero (Dee / Price)
Ran well 1st up from a spell. Can hold rating here.

Race 9

#1 Bel Burgess (Brown / Roebuck)
Returned to form with all the way win in Wodonga Cup. Won nicely only run here this trip.

#5 Amadeus (Williams / Kent)
Won well at Pakenham. Should be able to hold rating here.

#9 Widgee Turf (Egan / Payne)
Really good win 1st up and capable of holding that here. Has had no luck at either Moonee Valley run.

#11 Le Juge (Oliver / Waller)
Former overseas galloper having 1st start here for Waller. Significant jockey booking. Hasn’t been let go in either trial.
