Free racing tips August 20: Mark Rhoden (NSW Winners) at Hawkesbury
NSW Winners members get heaps of betting action… not only does Mark cover all NSW metro meetings, he also provides his best selections for provincial meetings as well.
Gosford, Newcastle, Wyong, Hawkesbury and Kembla Grange are all covered. This typically adds another two meetings per week on top of metro racing. It’s just another reason why Mark’s NSW Winners package is great value.

It’s Listed Rowley Mile Day at Hawkesbury. Mark’s thoughts and best bets, as sent to members earlier this morning:
Hawkesbury on a Soft 7 today on a true rail. There’s a chance they’ll get off the fence a bit in the straight but most should get their chance. After scratchings, we’re left with one betting race.
I don’t have a selection in the main race, the Rowley Mile, but have Order Again on top marked around $3.50, too short to entertain at the moment.
Race 8 (5:00pm) – two-horse strategy:
#1 Military Academy: currently $6.50 with TopSport
#13 Kabu: currently $17 with TopSport
I think a couple in the market here are well under the odds creating a little bit of value in an open race. Military Academy returns to his home track with Rachel King on, and if he runs up to his effort here two starts back, he’ll be in the finish. The ex-NZer Kabu is big odds here. She has a couple of figures in her first prep over there that would just about win this, and she showed some improvement in her latest trial. It’s speculative but I can’t let her go round at this price in a pretty winnable race. Rabbit Clause is a solid chance and Ruby Tuesday can improve with today’s gear changes, but I don’t like Dresden Green (gelded, resumes here off awful trials) and California August (off a pretty lacklustre win at Canberra).
Elsewhere today…
The AFL and NRL Line Ladders are up for this week so who are the punters’ friends and enemies? You might be surprised just how well (or poorly!) some teams do against the betting market.
