Saturday Horse Racing Tips June 27: Caulfield

Saturday best bet and quaddie from Trevor Lawson (Melbourne Ratings).

Conditions

The track has been given out as a Soft 6 with the rail out at 12 metres. I expect it to be a little firmer than that. Historically in this rail range the preferred ground is 4 – 7 wide in the straight. I’ll be walking the track prior to the meeting to get first hand knowledge.

Having second run at this distance range for the prep, should be able to elevate to new peak. Looked to have more to give last start.

Saturday Horse Racing Tips June 27: Rosehill

Saturday best bet and quaddie from Mark Rhoden (NSW Winners).

Conditions

Heavy 9 at Rosehill tomorrow, although the track has been racing better than its official rating of late and I’d expect it to race like a 7.

The rail out 3 metres and there’s virtually no wind. They’ll get off the fence in the straight and you’d prefer to be on horses in the front half of the field on straightening.

Mark’s Best Bet

Race 6 #12 Attention Run: currently $4.20 with TopSport

She got to the right part of the track last start so while she was a little flattered, she was very impressive regardless. Last spring she was second in the Newcastle Cup and beaten a length and a half in the Metropolitan. She’s very well placed in this with 53kg, loves soft ground and showed last start she’s in form. Clear top pick for me.

Mark’s Quaddie
