COTEHELE… you have to just forgive last start and hope it was because he was second-up. His previous win at Goulburn when resuming was top class and he looks a nice horse on that. Happy to forgive for this run and give him another chance on the back of an excellent map.
HILAL is the best horse in the race. Had a strong 107-rating win last start and has a best of 108 which he looks primed to perform. I am a little hesitant about his map though, that’s his one query, otherwise he’s very hard to beat.
COASTWATCH found his top in the Golden Rose, then couldn’t quite repeat it in the Stan Fox. He is in form but this prep is getting longer now too. He’s obviously a chance if he repeats his Golden Rose run though.
DUFRESNE had a good maiden win and rated high that day, but did get all favours and this is a step up in grade. Has ability though.
ROYALZEL is acing at his best on the wetter tracks so far and failed his last two back on top of the ground. That’s his question mark but he has showed good ability on those soft tracks.
