Caulfield quaddie tips

The track has been aerated this morning as it was quite firm.

Rail out 6m means it normally pays to be up on the pace. But a northerly wind of 35-45kms would be in their face down the back and wouldn’t help leaders.

Race 6 (1100m – Grp 3)

#2 Voodoo Lad (Weir / Rawiller)
Goes well fresh. First up last prep ran 2nd in Group 1 Newmarket.

#3 Malibu Style (Parnham / Parnham)
Another fresh horse. Produced peak figure this track and distance last prep 2nd up.

#4 Sheidel (Hayes & Dabernig / Williams)
Group 1 winning mare. Won Oakleigh Plate fresh up last year. Well graded here.

#8 Crystal Dreamer (Ellerton & Zahra / Thompson)
Terrific horse fresh. Raced well here in the past. Has claims.

Race 7 (1400m – WFA Grp 1)

#1 Black Heart Bart (Weir / Rawiller)
Slightly disappointing first-up, albeit on a soft track and di pull up mildly lame. Terrific record this track and distance. Can bounce back.

#2 Le Romain (Lees / Melham)
Sydney-sider who ran OK 1st up on soft track. Proven Group 1 performer.

#5 Vega Magic (Hayes & Dabernig / Williams)
Flew 1st up producing peak figure. Maps well here. Only 1400m run walked in.

#8 Hey Doc (McEvoy / Currie)
Honest horse who ran well 1st up. Goes good 2nd up and maps well here. Puts himself in the race and has winning ways.

Race 8 (1700m – Listed)

#3 Tally (Cummings / Williams)
Solid 1st up in fast run 1400m. Better suited here 2nd up at 1700m.

#6 Harlem (Hayes & Dabernig / Zahra)
Ran well on Aussie debut last prep. Only has to produce that figure to be competitive here. Has trialled nicely.

#7 Amelie’s Star (Weir / Currie)
Not suited 1st up, getting back and holding it’s ground. Better suited this distance.

#8 Montoya’s Secret (Corstens / Thompson)
Another horse who got too far back 1st up in unsuitable race. Better suited here from better draw and at 1700m.

#9 Hell Or Highwater (Hayes & Dabernig / Yendall)
Racing well and should be able to cross to lead.

#15 Dulverton (Smerdon / Dunn)
Racing consistently. Gets senior rider on. Can sit closer from inside draw.

Race 9 (1400m – Open Hcp)

#2 Grande Rosso (Hayes & Dabernig / Williams)
Ran well 1st up. Good record this trip. Has solid claims but short enough in early markets.

#7 Snitzson (Hayes & Dabernig / Zahra)
Got lost 1st up when resuming down the straight. Better suited here 1400m around the corner. Can improve dramatically.

#12 Red Alto (Stanley / Currie)
Good when resuming 1st up. Then missed the start last week, got back and held up in the straight. On the quick back-up here which it has won on before.

#13 Souchez (Cummings / Dunn)
Got too far out of its ground 1st up over a shorter trip. Did produce 2nd up this distance last prep. Can improve.

#16 Divine Mr Artie (McCarthy / O’Hara)
Horse who tends to find a lot of trouble in his races. With any luck in running will be hitting the line hard.
