Randwick Quaddie tips

NSW Winners pro-punter Mark Rhoden brings you his Randwick Quaddie tips for this Saturday.

Race 6: Apollo Stakes (1400m)

Selections: 5

Wouldn’t take $1.09 about Winx (5) in a fit but in truth it would be an incredible shock if she got beaten. Happy Clapper has a rough chance and isn’t a bad price but it would most likely be a waste of combinations throwing him into a flexi quaddie.

Race 7: Light Fingers Stakes (1200m)

Selections: 6, 7, 8

Miss Fabulass (6) is a top class filly trialling very nicely. Unfortunately it appears she will be ridden conservatively, which won’t help her chances, but she’s too good to leave out. Pohutukawa (7) showed a great turn of foot in two wins last preparation. She might be better on soft ground but is certainly worth including at the big odds. Sylvia’s Mother (8) is a highly promising filly who overcame trouble to continue her winning streak last start. Expecting her to roll forward from the gate, she has a fitness edge and is the filly best suited at 1200m in the race.

Race 8: Triscay Stakes (1200m)

Selections: 1, 2, 5, 7, 9

I Am Excited (1) is a good mare trialling well and races well first-up. Has plenty of weight but among the chances. Invincible Gem (2) tends to get back but has won first up at WFA at this track and trip and has a chance. Resin (5) is nicely weighted and has a good turn of foot on her day. Slight query is that she may be at very best on soft ground. Manicure (7) is racing very well and nicely placed on the limit weight. May be used a little early from her gate but has a chance. Sweet Scandal (9) is flying this time in and has had a quiet trial since her last start. Drops back in trip but drawn for a good run and well placed on the limit weight.

Race 9: Chinese Festival Of Racing Handicap (1600m)

Selections: 4, 8, 10, 11

Penske (4) is better off back to this grade. Will race on the pace and get every chance. Girl Tuesday (8) was given no hope first up but still disappointing. Should be closer in the run from this gate and if she finds her best she’ll win. The Avenger (10) should be ready to peak third up at 1600m and has a chance. Harmattan (11) benefited from a brilliant J McDonald ride to win last start. Doesn’t look a great price early but will be competitive and hard to leave out.
