Mark Rhoden’s Rosehill Quaddie

A pro-punter's take on the final four races in Sydney

Rosehill Quaddie tips

NSW Winners pro-punter Mark Rhoden brings you his Rosehill Quaddie tips for Saturday.

Race 6: TAB Rewards Handicap (1400m)

Selections: 1, 9, 10

Hussterical (1) is ideally suited at 1400m third-up in this class. Has plenty of weight but is a definite chance. So Magic (9) is stepping up in grade here but is in great form and looks big odds, have to include. Lightly raced improver With Purpose (10) looks very well weighted. Great chance.

Deft (7) is other chance in the race, but happy to oppose at what looks to be a short price

Race 7: Merry Christmas ATC Members Sprint (1100m)

Selections: 1, 2, 4, 5, 9

Albumin (1) was a different horse with the addition of blinkers last prep. Will need some luck from the inside gate but has a chance. Coruscate (2) has been freshened and is dropping back to 1100m. Has a nasty gate but a top jockey, definite chance. Bon Amis (4) loves this track and distance, looks a good race for him (no rider engaged?). Redouble (5) ran very well last start. Will probably get back but has a chance. Slow Burn (9) might be better off in fillies and mares grade, but was never really clear first-up and should be included.

Race 8: Christmas At The Gardens Handicap (1500m)

Selections: 5, 6, 7, 11, 12

Reflectivity (5) – it’s hard to be too confident with this jockey on, but should get his chance up on the pace here. Turnberry (6) is an honest horse who has returned in good order and is drawn for a good run. Island Missile (7) may take one more run to peak, but is well placed in this class and must be included. Nai’a (11) was dominant in weaker grade last time and drawn awkwardly here, but has J McDonald. Campari (12) is becoming hard to follow but well placed if she produces her best. Jockey change is the query.

Race 9: Australian Turf Club Handicap (1300m)

Selections: 6, 7, 9, 12

Lisdoonvarna (6) was only fair first up but got too far back that day. Likely improver with a positive ride. Arancini (7) had every chance first-up but should be fitter and will get his chance again. Discussions (9) has a nice weight drop and will race on the speed, has a chance. Moet Rose (12) is in good form, well drawn and blinkers go on here – definite chance.

3 winning days to start December has Mark Rhoden’s NSW Winners off to a flyer this summer.

Over $13,000 profit since September 2017 suggests there will be plenty more to come as well.
