Who should you be including in your Quaddie?

Rosehill Quaddie tips

Rosehill Quaddie Preview

NSW Winners expert Mark Rhoden returns with his Rosehill Quaddie tips. He’s going skinny in Race 8, confident that either Star Of Monsoon or Top Striker can get the job done.

Race 6 – TAB Rewards Handicap (1400m)

Selections: 1 – 3 – 10 – 16

Paret (10) comes out of the very strong Star Of Monsoon / Smartedge race and looks better suited at 1400 metres. He gets back a bit, and there are questions over his genuineness, but if Hugh Bowman can get the best out of him he’ll be hard to beat. Sparky Lad (1) is in outstanding form. Rises sharply in weight here but that will be reflected in his price and I couldn’t leave him out. Groundbreak (3) has had a quiet trial since campaigning in Melbourne and with McDonald on, could run a race. Sostenido (16) ran quite well in a good 3YO race in Melbourne last start, and is a blowout chance here with no weight at big odds.

Race 7 – Winter Challenge (1500m)

Selections: 1 – 4 – 8 – 9 – 16

Flow (16) had a nice cleanup run for this last start in weaker grade, will be right on the speed with a big weight drop and has a great chance. Hiflyer (1) made a very encouraging Australian debut last time, and with the addition of blinkers and the booking of Hugh Bowman can run a big race. Invinzabeel (4) is drawn to get every chance and loves Rosehill. Won’t be any flash price but hard to leave out. Liapari (8) gets back and hit a career peak last start, but the Dreamforce form line is very strong and I can’t oppose at a nice price. Mister Sea Wolf (9) has been consistent at this level without winning, but with the blinkers on can be closer in the run here and has a chance.

Race 8 – ATC Thanks Owners Handicap (1200m)

Selections: 11 – 13

Star Of Monsoon (13) made an outstanding return and looks beautifully placed here – if you’re looking to go narrow in a leg of the quaddie, take him one out. Top Striker (11) was never on track last start and James McDonald takes the ride. Has a chance at odds.

Race 9 – NSW Racehorse Owners Association Trophy (1200m)

Selections: 1 – 2 – 11 – 12

Sweet Scandal (11) has improved every start and will get every chance on the pace again. Envy Of All (2) is in outstanding form and is well drawn again, must be included. Upscale (1) was back to something like her best last start and maps well, has a chance. Racing pattern is against Bella Success (12), but it’s in great form and hard to leave out.
