Race 6 – Quezette Stakes (1100m)

Selections: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 12, 13

LYRE (1) is the Blue Diamond winner and ran third in Golden Slipper. Resumes here with the full penalty. Will be thereabouts. BELLA ROSA (3) ran well first-up in a Blue Diamond lead-up before knocking up in the main race. 1100m suits first-up. EXHILARATES (4) won the Magic Millions 2YO Classic then placed in a lead-up to the Slipper. Failed on heavy ground but has good claims here if forward enough. ABSOLUTE FLIRT (5) had no luck at Moonee Valley and nearly should’ve won. Time was good. CHEER LEADER (6) got fitter each run last prep. Exploded third-up at the Valley with peak rating. Have rated slightly off that but still has chance here. LANKAN STAR (7) ran second in the Blue Diamond at big odds third-up. Oliver sticks and has trialled up nicely. SIZZLEFLY (9) had a terrific win at Mornington in June against the pattern. Solid over 1200m at Caulfield. Better suited here over 1100m and senior jockey on. RUMBLE DOLL (12) ran a quick time at Sandown over the 1000m. Got a bit lost at Moonee Valley before hitting line well late. Suited here at home track. EXCUSED (13) had a terrific win on debut at Sandown. Freshened up since and trialled nicely.

Race 7 – Regal Roller Stakes (1200m)

Selections: 5, 7, 8, 9

HAUNTED (5) ran well last start at Caulfield. Best figure this prep was first-up at this track and distance. Looks good on map, blinkers on again. BEHEMOTH (7) is a quality horse that hits the line hard. Gives them a start but hasn’t had much luck last prep.  ANTAH (8) missed a run last week and resumes here. Improved all through last prep. Maybe looking for further but will be strong late. BEGOOD TOYA MOTHER (9) was unbeaten last prep, improving throughout. Maps to sit on the speed here and may have too much dash for them.

Race 8 – P.B. Lawrence Stakes (1400m)

Selections: 1, 11

HARTNELL (1) won this in 2017, and ran second last year with little luck. Maps to roll forward in a  race with not a lot of pace.  Clear second pick and definitely a chance. MYSTIC JOURNEY (11) is a champion mare unbeaten in two starts at this distance. Sat wide and beat Hartnell as a 3YO filly in the All-Star Mile. Meets him worse at the weights here but will have grown and filled out naturally. Exciting horse.

Race 9 – Ladbrokes Odds Boost Handicap (1100m)

Selections: 3, 4, 5, 6, 11, 12

CRACK THE CODE (3) put in an okay effort when unfancied first-up. Good record this track and likes the sting out of the ground. WORKING FROM HOME (4) is good fresh. Quick mare who maps well here. GREY SHADOW (5) won at this track and distance first-up. Looks to have a similar profile for this. Will be hard to hold out. MISS IANO (6) is racing in career-best form. Drawn out but should be able to run on. Will be hitting the line hard. BELLA VELLA (11) had a terrific win at second start for new trainer, reaching a new peak. Hard to beat if can hold rating here. VICTORY KINGDOM (12) ran well in first prep, improving throughout. 1100m suits first-up, will get home hard.
