With over 20 years of experience behind him, this is a must-read for any Quaddie players.

Race 6 – MRC Foundation Cup (2000m)

Selections: 5, 9, 11

SIKANDARABAD (5) got a long way back last start before flashing home. Ran third-quickest last 200m of the day. Won at this track and distance third-up last prep. ETYMOLOGY (9) had not a lot of luck last start before hitting the line well. Looks ideally suited here third-up. SUPER TITUS (11) put in a terrific effort when wide throughout second-up. Looks suited to 2000m, gets Williams and an inside draw.

Race 7 – Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m)

Selections: 3, 5, 12, 13, 14, 15

DESPATCH (3) ran well second-up when working on the speed. Has a chance here if can hold rating. SO SI BON (5) is a completely different horse since being gelded. Super effort at WFA last start when running on for second behind Scales Of Justice at Group 1 level. Drop in weight here. AMPHITRITE (12) put in a terrific effort in spring as a three-year-old filly. Struggled slightly in autumn off a shorter break. Longer break this time, terrific run first-up, goes to new level here. ICONOCLASM (13) ran well the other day at Caulfield. Third-up here, should be ready to peak. BEGOOD TOYA MOTHER (14) had to work from the outside barrier last start. Knocked up in the straight. Looks similar here but have rated to best. AGE OF CHIVALRY (15) put in a good effort two starts ago here at this track and distance. Went lowly in front in a low-rating race last start. Should be able to bounce back to previous peak here from inside draw.

Race 8 – Jim Moloney Stakes (1400m)

Selections: 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16

FOXY LADY (9) put in a terrific effort resuming at Seymour – sat wide throughout and eased at the line for a soft win. Looks an improving type. I AM ELOQUENT (10) put in a good effort last start on the soft going. May be a wet tracker, but happy to have on my side here. BEAUTY BOLT (11) got back from the wide barrier first-up then powered away for the win. Looks to be still on the up and can go to a new level here. FASCINO (13) had an extremely soft win first-up on the Ballarat Synthetic. Looked to have plenty left so can improve off that. AFFAIR TO REMEMBER (14) put in a terrific run first-up at Geelong. Good time, good sectionals, soft at the line late. Should be able to hit a new level here. TRAGIC (16) led and battled away okay at Seymour. Second-up here and should improve.

Race 9 – Green Distillation Technologies for Mirabel Hcp (1100m)

Selections: 1, 3, 5, 8, 9, 11

ORDER OF COMMAND (1) resumes here. Improves second and third up, but has run well enough first-up in the past to be competitive here. BADAJOZ (3) resumes here. Has run well at this track and distance. Gets Williams on. PLAGUE STONE (5) is a good horse fresh. Has run second here as a two-year-old at this track and distance. Will be strong late. LYRE (8) is a three-year-old filly who may have had a setback. Ran okay first-up and I’ve allowed it to return to best here. TERBIUM (9) was all at sea when caught wide on a biased track. Produced best career figure at track, not sure if can reproduce that but still has claims. WILLIAM THOMAS (11) resumes here. Won first-up first two preps. Last prep resumed off an 11-month spell and took one run. Shorter break here. All runs at Caulfield have been good.

Good luck if you’re betting and hopefully you get the Caulfield Quaddie Sep 21, 2019
