Trevor Lawson’s Flemington Quaddie: July 22nd

Our Melbourne man Trevor Lawson gives us his runners to include in Saturday's Flemington quaddie.

Flemington quaddie tips

Track has had 12ml of water in the last week. Should play virtually perfectly, giving all runners a fair chance.

Race 6 (1200m – BM 90)

#2 Ruettiger (Stockdale / Hayes & Dabernig)
Raced well down the straight last start. Good enough to be competitive here.

#4 Moss ‘n’ Dale (Martin / Gelagotis)
Better known as a wet tracker but has run well on firmer tracks too. Comes here off a little freshen up.

#8 Divine Mr Artie (Williams / McCarthy)
Got too far back first- up. Has won down the straight before and should be able to run its best here.

#10 Ozi Choice (Allen / Weir)
Ran well 1st up. Only has to hold that figure here to be competitive.

Race 7 (2000m – OPEN HCP)

#1 Killarney Kid (Rawiller / Weir)
Late scr two weeks ago. Has been schooled over the hurdles since to maintain its fitness and should be ready to run to its best.

#2 Extra Zero (Bayliss / Hayes & Dabernig)
Been racing consistently this prep and runs well here. Should be thereabouts.

#4 Kilimanjaro (Mertens / Hickmott)
Ran really well at his Australian debut here coming off a long spell. Been given 6 weeks to get over that run and the stable have a habit of these horses improving at 2nd local outing.

#5 Magic Consol (Williams / Preusker)
In career best form and should be competitive here. Does a consistent figure all the time

#6 Victory Downs (Beriman / Jaensch)
Unlucky last start when held up in the straight. First run at 2000m and there’s nothing to say he won’t get the trip. The market normally keepts those types of horses quite solid.

#8 Pacodali (Dee / Weir)
Won well the other day in a sit and sprint at first run at 2000m. Should be able to improve off that last rating.

#9 Master Zephyr (Allen / Weir)
Came through same race as Pacadali and ran OK. With the claim gets in under the minimum.

Race 8 (1400m – 3YO F OPEN HCP)

#1 Moonlites Choice (Williams / Weir)
In career best form and is on the quick back-up which the big syndicates often treat as a big positive. Steps to 1400m.

#2 Invictum Domina (Parish / Hayes & Dabernig)
Ran well first-up then no luck last start. Step up to 1400m suits and should be able to improve off last run.

#4 Princess Of Queens (Dee / Price)
Defied her SP at Caulfield to run eteriffically 1st up. Has won at the trip before. Have rated her down off first up run but she’s still well in my market.

#6 Whyouask (Thompson / Laurie)
Good thing beaten first-up. Flashed home well last start. Big track and 1400m should suit.

Race 9 (1100m – 3YO OPEN HCP)

#1 Ashlor (Baster / McCarthy)
Raced terifically in the aitumn. Not really suited LS but this looks a better race.

#3 Invincible Al (Payne / Payne)
Two previous runs prior to LS were teriffic. Strauggled LS at 1200m. Back to 1100m suits better.

#4 Knowable (Williams / Richards)
Nice 3yo resuming. Did win first-up last prep. Has trialled nicely for this and gets Williams.

#7 Hay Bale (Thompson / Griffiths)
Ran well LS down the straight. Only needs to hold its rating here to be in the finish.

#10 Misty Girl (Symons / Webb)
Won impressively first up then no luck from wide barrier last start. Gets blinkers on here and can improve.

#11 Tahi (Allen / O’Brien)
Well bred 3yo who won well on debut. Comes to home track here. Looks untapped.
