ranvet stakes

The Ranvet Stakes is a Group 1 weight-for-age race over 2,500 metres, held at Rosehill Racecourse in autumn. Total prizemoney is $700,000. The race is held on Golden Slipper Day, along with four other Group 1 races.

Ranvet Stakes: Key runners

This is for those who want to win on the big races, and includes his historical race profile, speed map, full rated market and recommended bets. And it’s less than $5 per race! ADDEYBB won this race last year and is in better form this time around, having won the Doonside Cup and the Champion Stakes in the UK in his two runs this prep, rating 122 in each. He had soft ground in both, which suits him, and he faces the prospect of quite a wet track on Saturday. He doesn’t look like getting pressured in the lead. Connections couldn’t ask for better circumstances for him to attempt to go back-to-back.

VERRY ELLEEGANT is very, very suited here. She grinded it out to win in the Chipping Norton, is fitter,  2000m is right up her alley and so is the wet track. No doubt she’ll track Addeybb in the run and attempt to run him down. It should be a hell of a contest. She couldn’t do it last year though!

SIR DRAGONET is just going shockingly since his bomb Cox Plate win and solid effort in the Melbourne Cup. Can’t blame the drier tracks because the Cup was quick and last start at Moonee Valley was soft. Hard to know.
