1st SUPER TYCOON – Glyn Schofield
2nd PERA PERA – Kerrin McEvoy
3rd BOLORD – Tommy Berry

Mr Entertainer won the start from Pera Pera and favourite Super Tycoon, with a gap then to Bolord, Torgersen and Shadow Lord, whilst Pindan Pearl trailed the field by ten lengths after leaping up out of the barrier.

Little speed on as the field bunched and even Pindan Pearl was able to catch up down the side of the course. Mr Entertainer led them into the straight on a very soft run, Pera Pera and Super Tycoon looming either side, whilst Torgersen seem to struggle to get a run behind. They boxed on around the leader and it was Super Tycoon staying away from the rest of the field and cruising up the inside for the win.

Watch: none.

1st PARAGON – Kerrin McEvoy
3rd LIE DIRECT – Deanne Panya (a)

Lie Direct settled in front from Paragon on its outside and Shelley’s Girl one back on the fence, and Dowdstown Charlie immediately outside. Favourite Richard of Yorke was next the rails, followed by Major Major, whilst Elusive Runner trailed them all by distance after sitting in the open gate for a good few seconds.

Fairly easy going along the back with little pressure applied anywhere, Elusive Runner still trailing the rest by a large margin, whilst the leader was allowed to relax up front until around the 1000m when things went up a notch. The first mover was Major Major, Avdulla going right around the outside until he joined the leaders, both Paragon and Lie Direct seeing him off easily. Those two punched on down the straight, the favourite unable to keep up, Paragon coming with momentum but unable to nudge out Paragon.

Watch: Paragon.

Race 3 – TAB HIGHWAY PLATE (1600m)

1st BOOTLEGGING – Kathy O’Hara
2nd DESTINED TO WIN – Andrew Adkins (a)
3rd DISTINCTIVE LOOK – Hugh Bowman

New Divide won the lead between I Know So and Akiko Gold, with Iona Niconi moving around the outside. High Tec was next from Five Pennies caught wide, then favourite Distinctive Look midfield, with Lostasock and Destined To Win very deep. Then came Star Bid, Striking Lago, Squidensquizz, Bootlegging, Loyal Toast and Thunder Road last.

The big run came early from Star Bid, Parr revving up to go right around the field down the side, ending up just wide of the leader. A big mob turned behind them with little room anywhere, with Akiko Gold, Distinctive Look and Destined to Win looking strong down the straight, until Bootlegging put in a great run down the outside to cause the huge boilover.

Watch: Bootlegging

1st DIVINE PROPHET – Tommy Berry
2nd DERRYN – Tim Clark
3rd THRONUM – James McDonald

Thronum jumped best and took the early lead from Derryn on the outside, Piitsburgh on the rails and Pound Sterling. Prized Icon was next caught deep, followed by Taj Mahal, Kent, Walk Right In and Divine Prophet.

Very orderly going into the side and around the turn, Derryn challenging Thronum or the lead in the straight with Prized Icon going the best of the rest, until Divine Prophet., coming from last, played to plan perfectly and thundered down the outside to take a great win.

Watch: Divine Prophet

1st OMEI SWORD – Brenton Avdulla
2nd BACARELLA – Tim Clark
3rd QUICK FEET – Kerrin McEvoy

Good battle for the lead from the wider starters, Thyme For Roses taking it from Zelady’s Night Out with Bacarella settling in third outside of Cudabeen and Alluvian. Favourite Omei Sword pushed through next inside of Manaya, with Quick Feet and Zafina bringing up the rear.

Alluvian improved up the inside as they cornered whilst Bacarella emerged well wider with the favourite looming next. It was the latter two with the momentum, and as soon as Avdulla asked Omei Sword he lengthened beautifully to charge away for an easy win. Nice finishes from Quick Feet and Zafina.

Watch: Omei Sword, Quick Feet, Zafina

1st TYCOON TARA – Kerrin McEvoy
2nd LE ROMAIN – Christian Reith
3rd MOUNT NEBO – Jason Collett

Again the wide runners wanted the lead with Vashka winning it from Tycoon Tara, a gap then to Boss Lane outside of favourite Le Romain. Decision Time was next from Famous Seamus, Messene, Generalife and Mount Nebo.

Le Romain kept touch with the front two in the run, moving up to the inside of Vashka as they straightened, whilst Tycoon Tara did likewise on the outside. The pair of them broke away with only Boss Lane looking like keeping touch. Late Runs came from Mount Nebo and Messene, both finishing nicely, but it was Tycoon Tara finishing best to take it.

Watch: Tycoon Tara, Messene, Mount Nebo.

Race 7 – WARWICK STAKES (1400m)

1st WINX – Hugh Bowman
2nd HARTNELL – James McDonald
3rd REBEL DANE – Tommy Berry

The Winx show returns and Bowman had her handy in second at the start, Rebel Dane taking the lead, whilst lucia Valentina and Hartnell were next, then Grand Marshall, Vanbrugh and Who Shot Thebarman at the back.

Pretty soft run with most of them seeming to know what was coming – Bowman sitting the champ just off the leader’s outside for the trip before asking the quietest of questions and speeding away for a simple win. Hartnell hit the line well enough for second.

Watch: Winx

1st PEARLS – Brenton Avdulla
2nd DIXIE BLOSSUMS – Tim Clark
3rd ELLE LOU – Glyn Schofield
Knit’n’Purl settled in front from Pioneering, Slots and Pearls, with a gap then to Heavens Above inside of favourite Dixie Blossums. Elle Lou, My Amazing Cool and Satya whipped them in.

The leader just held off Pioneering into the straight, with Pearls moving up three-wide in front of the favourite who’d been deep the whole trip. Pearls kept going nicely in the straight and had Dixie Blossums throwing all at her, just falling short, while Elle Lou hit the line nicely.

Watch: Pearls, Dixie Blossums, Elle Lou.

2nd HAPTIC – James McDonald
3rd FELINES – Koby Jennings (a)

Don’t Tease Me won the start of the dash from favourite Haptic and Glenbawn Dame caught wide, with Freeze The Charges, Grand Condor and Happy Galaxy right there too. Zoutenant was next with Shahrazad, then Felines and Southern Legend, then I Can Rock inside of Rose of Man and Il Mio Destino.

They straightened in a row behind Don’t Tease Me, McDonald taking the favourite to the front and looked good until the raiders came from the outside, chief among them Southern Legend, who rattled home to take the narrow win off the favourite.

Watch: Southern Legend, Rose of Man.

Horses to follow: Divine Prophet, Omei Sword, Messene, Mount Nebo, Winx, Dixie Blossums, Elle Lou, Southern Legend.
