The Spring Racing Carnival is underway!
The first Group 1 of the new season, the Winx Stakes, was run at Randwick on Saturday, August 22nd.
From there it’s a bumper schedule of 39 Group 1 or $1 million races, culminating in the three Group 1s in Perth in late November and early December.
So while COVID-19 will make for a very different Spring Racing Carnival to other years – most notably, a probable lack of crowds – there’s still a full schedule of fantastic racing.
All of the Champion Bets racing analysts will of course be heavily engaged over the Spring Racing Carnival… Mark Rhoden, Trevor Lawson, Cameron O’Brien, Dean Evans and Gareth Phillips all cover racing in Melbourne, Sydney and/or Perth… after the long winter, they’re raring to go at the best time of the year!
