Queensland Winners analyst The Professor brings you his Sunshine Coast Quaddie tips for Friday night’s meeting.
Race 4 Pitchers Hospitality Mdn - 1000m 3yo
Numbers: 3, 4, 6, 12
Rapid Ace (3) and Cartland (4) both come through the Love Squirrels / Enterprise Louise form that I can’t get enough of lately. Both have run well since that race and will be up on the speed. Dolly Spartan (6) also comes out of what is shaping as a strong form race this track / distance travelled beautifully in the run behind a hot speed and finished off nicely only beaten a length. Melbern Queen (12) is always competitive and will be leaders back. Was well supported last start to beat Enterprise Louise.
Race 5 Bcu Hcp - 1000m C1
Numbers: 1, 3, 4, 9
Don’t really want to be with I Am Venus (1) at the short odds but can’t leave out of the numbers. Form through the likes of From Within and Tawfiq Boy looks strong for this. Liu Bei (3) ran well this track / distance in a fast race last start and from low draw will put himself in the race. My Unicorn (4) first start for new trainer with decent form VIC provincials. They can improve significantly with a change of trainer so don’t want to leave out. Tinder (9) showed significant improvement in first start as a 3 year old winning a very high rating race this track / distance and if reproduces that will be hard to beat.
Race 6 Multimeat Australia P/L-Bm70 - 1400m
Numbers: 1, 2, 3, 8
Hard to go past the main ones in the market here. Mr Bellagio (1), has been running well in harder races and from the inside draw should find a nice spot. Deitch (2) was only beaten 1.4L by Dream Master last start in a high rating race. Dapper One (3) ran on strongly against a slow tempo last time a Doomben and looks better suited here. Coastal Boy (8) is up in grade but was a strong winner last start and could get a soft lead.
Race 7 Southeast Stainless Hcp - 1400m C1 F & M
Numbers: 3, 4, 5, 6
Speaking Bad (3) and Reef Knot (4) both come off of forgive runs @ Beaudesert and will enjoy getting back to the wide expanses of the Sunshine Coast where both have produced their best. Go Diamond (5) improved significantly a 2nd start when up to 1300m and if gets an easy time out front could be hard to run down. Proposed (6) is a lightly race 5yo mare having only her 7th start. Consistently competitive and has never seen this track before but will suit her run on style.
