Flemington Quaddie Preview

Trev’s including plenty of runners in this week’s Flemington Quaddie tips.

Race 6 – TAB/ATA Trainers’ Trust Handicap (1100m)

Selections: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6

Brave Song (1) goes well fresh. Is first-up this way of going but has run in good class races in Sydney. Ducimus (2) put in a terrific run first-up off a long spell. Over-raced badly last start and has been scratched a couple of times. Kennedy (3) didn’t have much luck first-up when checked in the straight. Has good figures in previous preps and can bounce back here. Order Of Command (4) has been racing well all prep. Terrific run last start behind Nature Strip, solid form for this. Double Jeopardy (6) has raced well all three runs down straight this prep. Can maintain rating here.

Race 7 – Murray Cox Handicap (1600m)

Selections: 2, 3, 4, 5, 8

Mr Money Bags (2) has terrific record here at Flemington. Can box-seat from the barrier and was strong to the line at this trip last start. Al Passem (3) wasn’t suited last week when sitting outside the leader in a fast-run race. Was good the start before. Slight negatives are stepping to 1600 metres, and this is the first time on quick back-up. Night Falls (4) has progressed nicely this prep – terrific win last start in Adelaide and can hold rating here. Streets Of Avalon (5) ran well last start in a fast-run race. On the quick back-up and jumping in distance are slight negatives, but still has claims. Limekilns (8) had a good win three runs ago at Bendigo. Looked to not handle the track at the Valley, and then tightened last start when making run in the straight. Gets gear changes here and can bounce back.

Race 8 – K.A. Morrison Handicap (2000m)

Selections: 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 14

Pacodali (1) ran well first-up then had a strong win second-up. Third-up here and out to 2000 metres, should be ready to peak. Trap For Fools (3) put in a solid effort last start over 1800 metres, second-up. Third-up here, should be ready to run to best. My Nordic Hero (5) had no luck last start when held up at vital stage. Previous runs were good and can bounce back here. Sixties Groove (6) won well when on quick back-up this start and distance last start. Can hold rating. Sayed (9) is fourth-up this time in. Has run well this track and distance before and as solid claims. Kilimanjaro (10) is first-up off a long-spell, but did run well first-up last prep off a two-year break. Some chance if fancied. Jaameh (14) won well on Australian debut first-up over this distance. Given break since.

Race 9 – VRC Thanks Terry Bailey Handicap (1000m)

Selections: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8

Rocket Tommy (2) has a good record down the straight and a good record at this distance, so will be thereabouts. Cashed (3) also races well this at distance. Third-up on quick back-up and senior rider on are positives. Invincible Al (4) races well down straight, and ran well last start. Has claims here, but does have inexperienced jockey. Wise Hero (5) hasn’t performed to market expectations any run this prep, but has had slight excuses. Well down in class here if he can run anywhere near his best. Khalama (6) ran well last start for the new trainer and has claims. Nordic Empire (8) is racing well. Back slightly in trip here, but will race on the pace.
