With 2 huge games on Friday, our man brings you his NBA preview for each game complete with betting tips.
Golden State Warriors @ Orlando Magic - 11pm
This is a warning to anyone thinking of betting on the Orlando Magic in this one.
The Golden State Warriors lost to the Heat in a nail biter after Dwyane Wade’s miraculous buzzer beater. However the last time the Warriors lost two games in a row was last season, so it’s highly unlikely to be happening here.
Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are the reason why the Golden State Warriors have the best away record in the league at 20-9. I’m tipping it’ll be 21-9 after tomorrow.
The Orlando Magic should be in the playoffs, however they have this weird habit of beating good teams and losing to teams below them.
They’ve beaten all 8 of the current top 8 seeds in the Eastern conference, and 5 of the 8 top 8 seeds in the Western conference as well.
That will make it an interesting contest, with Nikola Vucevic up against DeMarcus Cousins one match-up that will be particularly fun to watch.
Aaron Gordon usually plays well against the Warriors as well, however guys like Terrence Ross will also need to step up to get them within winning range.
I know it’s the easy option but the Warriors actually present good value at $1.45 on BetEasy. I’m very confident they will bounce back tomorrow.
Philadelphia 76ers @ Oklahoma City Thunder - 12pm (ESPN)
No Joel Embiid, No Boban Marjanovic.
The 76ers will be forced to play small ball against the Thunder simply because they have no one else available.
Steven Adams should be tough to stop, and with Mike Scott playing minutes at the centre he should be able to have a huge influence on this game.
Tobias Harris is really fitting in well with the 76ers and is averaging 25 points per game over the last 3 games.
However at home OKC are a different beast. They’re really starting to kick on this season with Paul George and Russell Westbrook tearing it up.
Jerami Grant has been a great find as well, slotting in nicely and making his team better defensively.
Steven Adams’ points line is what I’ll be taking in this game. You can get $1.90 him to score 15 points or more with BetEasy.
Given he will be playing on an undersized centre, it seems a good bet to me.
