The Sixers look to keep rolling on the road, the Kings look to keep their playoff chances alive, while the free-falling Pacers look to avoid a 5th-straight road loss in LA.
Our man has a 22-16 record since joining us and he brings you his NBA betting preview for today.
Philadelphia 76ers @ Charlotte Hornets - 10am
The 76ers had a huge win over Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks recently, and they’ll be hoping to carry that form into this game against the Hornets.
The 76ers are probably one of the toughest teams to beat right now, boasting an all-star starting lineup of Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Jimmy Butler, Tobias Harris and JJ Redick.
Philly have won 4 straight and are really starting to click on their way in to the playoffs. They’ll be without Embiid here as he gets rested.
The Hornets are stuck in between tanking or fighting to get wiped 4-0 by the Bucks in the first round of the playoffs.
They are only 2 games behind the 8th seeded Heat, however with the tough schedule coming up it’s probably in their best interests to lose.
They have a lot of average players on big deals they need to clear out, however, to keep star player Kemba Walker they need to successful as well.
It will be interesting to see which Charlotte team turns up here.
I’ll be taking the Philadelphia 76ers to win this one. Embiid not playing has boosted the odds $1.92 at BetEasy, but for me they still leave with the win.
Brooklyn Nets @ Sacramento Kings - 1pm
The Nets took a tough loss to the Clippers to extend their losing streak to three games.
All three of those losses have come on this road trip so they’ll be up against it when they arrive in Sacramento.
Brooklyn have got all of their injured players back, but they’re having trouble assimilating everyone back in whilst on this road trip. D’Angelo Russell and his team will need to get it together here.
The Sacramento Kings are a new team this year. High energy and fast paced games are there forte, so they’ll look to push the pace here and hope the Nets can’t keep up.
If Buddy Hield and De’Aaron Fox get up and running, a 21-14 home record suggests they will be very hard to stop.
That said, the Nets have been good while losing on the road, so I’ll stick with them here.
BetEasy has the line set at 3.5 points, which isn’t much. Therefore I’m going to ‘pick your own’ line and make it +6.5 in favour of the Nets for a little bit of security.
Indiana Pacers @ Los Angeles Clippers - 1:30pm
The next stop on the Pacers tough Western road trip is Los Angeles.
Indy have lost their last five games away from home and have a horrible record against Western conference teams on the road as well.
Indiana is known for tough defense, but they’ll have their work cut out trying to stop Danilo Gallinari and Lou Williams.
The Clippers are putting it all together at the right time, going 8-2 in their last 10 matches to be one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now.
Gallinari and Williams are at the centre of it all, scoring over 50 points per game between them in that stretch.
Gallo in the starting line-up provides the early scoring punch, and then the best bench scorer of all time Lou Williams comes in to do his thing.
At home they’re going to be super tough to beat again.
I’m sticking with a player prop bet here. Darren Collison is $2 with BetEasy to score more than 13.5 points. He has had to do more with Oladipo out and he’s been scoring consistently.
- Philadelphia to win – $1.95
- Brooklyn Nets +6.5 – $1.62
- Darren Collison Over 13.5 points – $2.00
All markets available with BetEasy.
