After going 5-1 from 6 betting plays last week, our man brings you his NBA previews for 3 more games, complete with betting tips, for Wednesday.
Orlando Magic @ New York Knicks - 11:30am
The Knicks will be buoyed after claiming two scalps in two of their last three games. An obvious tanking candidate, the Knicks are tough to back at any opportunity as they try to increase the chances of getting the number 1 pick.
The Magic are in a great run of form with 6 wins in their last 7, including a blowout win over the Raptors in Toronto.
The offense from Jonathan Isaac and Terrence Ross is taking the load off Nikola Vucevic as well, making the wins come easier. Everything is also clicking defensively, which is why I will be taking the total score unders here.
Locking down the Knicks isn’t the toughest task in the world, given they are the 3rd worst offensive team in the league.
This to me screams blowout win for the Magic.
I want to take the line and over/under double here. I like the Magic to cover the -6.5 line and total score of under 215.5 points.
Boston Celtics @ Toronto Raptors - 12pm
The Toronto Raptors are an impressive home team at 25-6. They lost their first game in February to the Magic a couple of days ago, that was only their second loss at home in 2019.
Therefore, in my opinion they are primed to bounce back here. The addition of Marc Gasol is a great matchup for Al Horford who is usually the danger man against the Raptors.
Boston’s struggles this season have been well documented.
Kyrie Irving has spoken out on the youth just not being experienced in clutch situations, while they hold a 14-15 for the season when playing away from TD Garden.
They don’t have the injury excuse anymore either, so in my eyes they just aren’t playing well enough to beat one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference.
I don’t see how the Celtics will overcome their difficulties against a team who just suffered a loss to end an 8-game winning streak. Kawhi Leonard will also be back tomorrow.
Oklahoma City Thunder @ Denver Nuggets - 2:30pm
The Denver Nuggets are flying. Four wins on the trot and a 30-point walloping of the Clippers has made winning look effortless right now.
Nikola Jokic is continuing his All-Star form averaging 21 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists over the last 2 weeks. This gives a range of prop bets to choose from depending on specific matchups.
We can’t forget the Nuggets are 25-4 at home as well, giving them the best home court mark in the NBA.
OKC’s betting preview is simple: Russell Westbrook and Paul George.
The way these two are playing it becomes hard for anyone else on the team to contribute meaningfully and meet the overs on their points or rebound lines.
On the other end of the spectrum, OKC are the 3rd best defensive team in the league. Denver scores almost half of their points in the paint, so the interior defence of Jerami Grant, Steven Adams and new addition Markieff Morris is pivotal to this result.
The last two games between these teams have finished at 203 and 207 points.
