broncos v bulldogs

Read on for NRL Round 10 early mail and betting leans for each game…

NRL Round 10: Bulldogs vs Knights, Friday night

Early prediction: Knights by 4
The value: Knights at TopSport

  • The Bulldogs could only manage a single try against the struggling Raiders, so it is not clear to me their attacking issues are improving.
  • The Knights look a lot stronger with guys like Clune and Barnett lining up in starting 13.
  • I think the Knights have hit rock bottom are bouncing back at present. I think they win here and offer decent value on the head to head.

Sea Eagles vs Broncos, Friday night

Early prediction: Manly by 2
The value: Draw @ 80 minutes at TopSport

  • The return of Haumole Olakau’atu and Andrew Davey is big, while Schuster potential return is huge.
  • Broncos forward pack also getting some big inclusions in the form of Haas and Capewell.
  • Both teams in good form and with troops returning. Although it is technically a Manly home game, the Brisbane crowd will give the Broncos a chance of an upset here.
NRL Round 10: Warriors vs Rabbitohs, Saturday afternoon

Early prediction: Souths by 1
The value: Warriors +6.0 at TopSport

  • Warriors welcome back Pompey and Montoya, which will hopefully strengthen their defence out wide.
  • Tohu Harris is a big inclusion in the middle and although I am not expecting miracles, he, Lodge and Fonua-Blake can lead this team around well.
  • Souths missing Murray is huge, enough of a loss that I think the Warriors will cover the line and potentially win here.
Titans vs Dragons, Saturday afternoon

Early prediction: Dragons by 6
The value: Dragons to win at TopSport

  • The return of Jayden Campbell at 1 and Phillip Sami pm the wing, will strengthen the Titans, however it will be a test to see how well Brimson can adjust back to 6.
  • The Dragons have a very deep squad, so I am expecting a few last minute changes with Kerr and Ford a chance of getting a bench spot based on solid reserve grade from.
  • Dragons are a much tougher team that the Titans, who are still missing strike without Fifita playing.
Storm vs Panthers, Saturday night

Early prediction: Too close to call
The value: Draw @ 80 minutes at TopSport

  • Meaney is a very handy replacement for Papenhuyzen, emphasising what a strong squad Coach Bellamy has at his disposal.
  • Panthers are coming in with as strong a team as possible, with the same spine that won the 2021 premiership.
  • I cannot work out who will win this one. An 80-minute draw here is another good speculative play for this weekend.
NRL Round 10: Sharks vs Raiders, Sunday afternoon

Early prediction: Sharks by 4 in a low scoring game
The value: Under Total Points at TopSport

  • The Sharks have two big outs here, with Kenney at 1 and Ramien at 3 both missing for the Sharks. Although they have strong replacements as cover, this gives the Raiders a chance.
  • While it was not a pretty win, the Raiders win over the Bulldogs last weekend could be enough to kick start their spluttering season.
  • However, the continued absence of WIghton at 6 will be tough to overcome and I think the Sharks will grind out a win in a thriller.

Roosters vs Eels, Sunday afternoon

Early prediction: Eels by 8
The value: Under Total Points at TopSport

  • Roosters looked to have finally broken free of their shackles and played some enterprising footy to smash the Titans last weekend.
  • Both teams looking strong, so this could be another blockbuster for the weekend.
  • However, after beating both the Storm and Panthers (away from their home ground!) in recent weeks, I am expecting a confident Eels line up to win strongly here.
Tigers vs Cowboys, Sunday night

Early prediction: Cowboys by 16 or more
The value: Cowboys -8.5 at TopSport

  • Although the return of Luciano Leilua for Wests is big, their squad looks a lot weaker than the high-flying Cowboys.
  • Cowboys continue to out muscle their opponents with hard running and solid defence.
  • Wests improved form will keep them competitive early, but I think the Cowboys underrated forward pack will prove the difference here and they should win well.
