Read on for NRL Round 20 early mail and value betting leans for each game…
NRL Round 20: Manly v Roosters, Thursday night
Early prediction: Roosters
The value: Roosters -18.5 at TopSport
- Huge news affecting this game, seven Manly players sitting out due to the jersey being worn by the team.
- Included in this group are guys like Koula and Olakau’atu, who have been two of Manly’s best players of late.
- Roosters welcome back Manu to the centres and look strongest they have looked all year.

NRL Round 20: Warriors v Storm, Friday night
Early prediction: Storm, just
The value: Warriors +13.5 at TopSport
- Warriors welcome back Walsh at 1, but lose Arthurs to injury.
- Storm do not welcome back any troops and with four losses on the trot, are surprisingly still 13 point favourites for this one despite it being over in NZ.
- Storm issues are widespread and not easily fixed
Eels v Panthers, Friday night
Early prediction: Panthers
The value: Total points under 41.5 at TopSport
- Eels’ form of late has been a real concern and it seems they may not be a happy camp.
- Panthers showed they still know how to grind out a tough win against quality opposition last weekend against the Sharks
- Panthers should get the win here but the line is a little too big.
NRL Round 20: Titans v Raiders, Saturday afternoon
Early prediction: Raiders
The value: Titans +7.5 at TopSport
- Proctor sacked for vaping could be a blessing in disguise, as he was nowhere near their best 17 and probably a disruptive force in the squad.
- Titans have named a strong squad. Expect Campbell to start at 1 and Brimson to 6. Clark stays at 13 and Boyd shifts to the bench.
- Raiders came home strong against Warriors, but still look patchy and could be ripe for an ambush here at the Gold Coast.
Sharks v Souths, Saturday afternoon
Early prediction: Close
The value: Souths +2.5 at TopSport
- Match of the round, with two form teams at close to full strength matching up
- Concerns about the Sharks pack now that Finucane has been suspended, with guys like Graham, Fifita and Tolman all a little old nowadays
- Should be a thriller, like the away team with the small headstart.
Broncos v Wests, Saturday night
Early prediction: Broncos easily
The value: Broncos -16.5 at TopSport
- The Broncos destruction of the Eels in Sydney last week shows just what a powerhouse they have become in 2022 under Coach Walters.
- Haas and Carrigan are leading up front while the backline is playing with aggression and confidence.
- Wests will be feeling down after last Sunday’s heartbreak and with news that Nofouluma is headed out the door
NRL Round 20: Knights v Bulldogs, Sunday afternoon
Early prediction: Close!
The value: Knights H2H at TopSport
- Knights losing Ponga might not be as bad as first feared. Hoy has been playing great when given a chance and Ponga’s injuries continue to disrupt the team’s fluency.
- The Doggies attacked well last weekend against Titans but still showed plenty of weaknesses in defence.
- At home, the Knights will know they owe their fans.
Dragons v Cowboys, Sunday afternoon
Early prediction: Cowboys
The value: Cowboys -7.5 at TopSport
- Dragons bounced back to form last weekend against Manly, but have a much tougher match this weekend
- The return of Cotter and Leilua settling in should see the Cowboys back in the winner’s circle here.
- Dragons will be tough early but the Cowboys should run away with this one in the second half.
