footy betting market

Check out this week’s footy betting market review.

The NRL had the weekend off due to Rep Round, so it’s just the AFL this week as the bye rounds wrapped up.

We’re back to an even fixture in the AFL. GWS has risen to the top, clear on points only from the irrepressible (in a line betting sense!) Carlton, who covered two more lines over the bye period to remain in second spot despite their dismal win/loss record. The market continues to underrate the Blues.

Geelong dropped off slightly, missing the line against Port by four goals. There was a lot spoken of Geelong’s inability to get up after a bye… but the market didn’t take it into account.

St Kilda and Hawthorn were the sorry stories of the mid-season period; both missing two more lines to drop below Melbourne into the bottom rungs. Melbourne’s overall numbers are still poor, but their win over Fremantle was enough to lift them off the floor.
