Flemington quaddie tips

Have to think it’s going to race well again. Good 3 or 4 and no weather issues. The rail was out 6pm last week and is out 10m tomorrow.

Should be a decent betting day, although a couple of the quaddie legs do look tough.

Race 6 (1400m – BM70)

#7 I Boogi (Lane / Cameron)
Won well 1st up which is good enough to win here. Jockey has a good record on the horse.

#9 Kilmacurragh (Dunn / Hawkes)
1st up from a spell and has run well fresh in the past. Trialled nicely coming into this.

#11 Invictum Domina (Thompson / Hayes & Dabernig)
Won well 1st up then no luck past two. Last run worked hard into strong wind. Should get better conditions here.

#13 Wayanka (Oliver / Waller)
On the quick back-up. Found the 1600m just a bit too far last start. Better suited back to 1400m.

Race 7 (1200m – GROUP 3 OPEN HCP)

#1 Hey Doc (Currie / McEvoy)
Quality 4yo resuming. Trialled nicely. Should be able to sprint well fresh.

#2 I Am A Star (Dunn / Nichols)
Similar profile to Hey Doc. Quality mare. Has run well fresh in the past.

#3 Grande Rosso (Bayliss / Hayes & Dabernig)
Goes best fresh. Trialled terrifically leading into this race. Can run to best.

#5 Flippant (Melham / Snowden)
Has won down the straight before. This looks to be a target race.

#6 Snitzson (Baster / Hayes & Dabernig)
Quality 4yo mare who ran close-up to Hey Doc in the Australian Guineas. Can sprint well fresh.

#7 Cannyescent (Oliver / Hayes & Dabernig)
Has won 5 of past 7 for new stable. Comes off 7 week break. Should have enough residual fitness to sprint well fresh.

#9 Ruettiger (Mertens / Hayes & Dabernig)
Previous two runs before last start were solid. Last start was too bad to be true. Significant gear changes. Has claims if anywhere near best.

Race 8 (2000m – BM78)

#1 Crocodile Rock (Melham / Hickmott)
Won on debut in Australia at similar distance range. Ran well both runs last prep. Has a class edge.

#8 Annaman (Lane / Weir)
Made nice ground 1st-up over 1600m. Then not suited last start. Better suited here out to 2000m on a big track. Has stable-favoured jockey on.

#9 Galaxy Raider (Berriman / Eurell)
On the quick back-up after running well last week over this trip. Only has to hold that rating to be in the finish.

#16 Alward (Walker / Waller)
Made up good ground 1st-up, then failed due to track condition last start. 3rd up at 2000m looks ideal.

Race 9 (1000m – BM90)

#3 Rough Justice (Marshall / Ellerton & Zahra)
Good consistent straight horse who has claims here. Does the same rating all the time.

#7 Rocket Tommy (Oliver / Johnstone)
Very good record down the straight. Gets Oliver. Can run to best.

#8 Orujo (Brown / Mathrick)
Honest gelding who is racing consistently. Drops significantly in weight.

#9 Sunday Escape (Dunn / Murray)
Another horse who basically returns his figure every start. Has claims in this kind of race.

#10 Runson (Thompson / Corstens)
Has had bone chips removed since last prep. Speedy type who has jumped out impressively leading into this.

#11 Tribal Wisdom (Moloney / Moroney)
Won nicely on debut. Looks a progressive type. Resumes here and has claims.

#14 Seattle Boom (Currie / Noblet)
Won nicely when resuming in Adelaide. Not suited last start when had to face strong breeze the whole way. Has solid claims off Adelaide run.
